Who can enter?
Any student from Kindergarten to Year 12 enrolled in an Australian school can participate. Both individual students and school groups are welcome.
How do I register?
Create an account at /join/, then complete the registration form at /register-hub/. Choose Individual ($30 AUD) or School Group ($15/student).
What is the Early Bird discount?
Register before September 30, 2025 to pay only $25 (individual) or $12/student (group) — saving $5 per entry.
Can I register as a group?
Yes! Schools can register multiple students at a discounted rate of $15/student. A teacher must manage the group registration.
What is the 2025 theme?
The 2025 theme is Natural Disasters 🌍. Students must create a coding/robotics project that relates to natural disasters — prevention, response, awareness, or recovery.
What tracks are available?
- Scratch Coding — K–2 and 3–4 (block-based programming)
- Python Robotics — Grades 5–8 (text-based Python)
- AI & Innovation — Grades 9–12 (advanced concepts)
How do I submit my project?
Upload your project code and a short video via the submission portal at /submit/ before November 30, 2025.
What can I win?
All participants receive: Certificate of Participation, Medal, and Trophy.
Top performers receive: Cash prizes, special trophies, and recognition in the Hall of Fame.
All physical awards are delivered to your school (or individual address if requested).
Do I need special equipment?
You need a computer or tablet with internet access. For Python Robotics, basic robotics hardware (e.g., micro:bit, Lego Mindstorms) is recommended but simulated environments are also accepted.
Can I use AI tools?
AI tools may be used as part of your project, but all work must be primarily created by the student. Acknowledge any tools used in your submission.
